Are these phosphate like the ones along the top of the fenders, or something else?  Thanks.
I don't always downshift, but when I do it is near a Prius so they can hear me hurting the environment.

Same bolt (378178-S2, 5/16-18X1.0 in L), same finish as the 12 top fender to apron bolts, should most likely be toothed disc washer types.
Get a set of the 67 Mustang Assembly Manuals for your car. They are 90-95 percent accurate and give a common reference for all.

Thanks, I was hoping that was the case.  I have a set of those things, but the pictures are pretty primitive and they are not indexed very well so it takes some time to figure out what is what.
