WTB jack and ratcheting handle
« on: October 15, 2014, 12:45:59 PM »
For my '65 Dearborn coupe.  I don't mind if it is used or if it's not the correct zinc color as long as it is in good working condition for in the unlikely event that I do have to use it I can.

thanks,

Matt

Matt,
The jacks are probably OK to use "if" and "when" needed, but I would recommend carrying an inexpensive 1/2 inch drive breaker bar and 3/4 inch deep wall socket (Harbor Freight) to use in place of the Ford ratcheting handle. It may save wear and tear on your knuckles and psyche.

Ok thanks Jim.  I would still like to have the ratcheting handle as well to go along with the Jack.

3/4" deep wall socket? I haven't worked on a 65 in a few years now, but thought that all your early Ford cars were 13/16". Learn something new every day ;)

You are so right, I'm thinking Volkswagen, my "going to get parts in" car. (3/4 = 19mm)
