Battery shield on 67 289 with AC built in San Jose
« on: April 03, 2010, 04:44:39 PM »
Would a 1967 San Jose, 289 with AC, built April 1967 originally have a battery shield?  I know 68's with AC would.
Thanks.

IF your showing in a MCA event one would be expected

Most or just about all got thrown away the first battery change so not many pictures of original cars with them

Thanks for the reply,  I am planning on going to the Bellevue, WA Grand National MCA and entering it the unrestored class.

When buying your battery sheild keep in mind that it comes in one size and it is for the grp 27,  I have a 67 Mustang 390 with AC and it came with a grp 24 battery so I cut it to fit.  It looks good to me.  I will know when I get back from Mustang OK. in June

Should ALL SJ 289/302 equipped cars in 68 with factory AC have a battery sheild?
