what paint strip colors would be on the driveshaft on a mustang  with 302-J code c-4  assembled In san jose.

When was the car built (looks like they may have changed a few times through the year) and is the car a GT or non-GT equipped car (8 or 9" rearend)   

68 J codes are a problem child at times

Sorry I didn't welcome you earlier in the first post - Welcome to the site, hope you find the information contained within allot of help in your concours efforts.

You'll learn that if you don't provide when and where your car was built with every request for info (or put it all in your signature) it will normally be the first thing asked.


So from a build sheet of a car equipped similar to yours and about the same time period (about 30 days after your car)  the basic stripes were as follows from front to rear of the driveline. Hope this helps



Light blue (something similar to Sky or Arcadian Blue)
Dark Green (like Forest or Hunter Green)
Yellow (Not school bus  add just a little white to a strong yellow just to take the edge off IMHO)
