So I have been fine tuning my 64 1/2 coupe, (260 v8 - 2v carb), checking timing and resetting the carb mixtures, etc. to get it just right.. When I noticed that if you were to give a yank on the metal vaccum line between the carb and distributor, that I believe it would simply pull out of either end (distr. or carb fitting). Is this normal or should there be a flared end to each so it cannot come loose, off, or leak. I am wondering if the carb could be sucking air around this metal line or fitting and losing some vaccum to advance the distributor??? I would hate to check by spraying carb cleaner around my nice intake/spacer/etc.
Thanks for a reply! Oh, and BTW this is an old pic, I removed the FRONT sticker on the air cleaner (cause it was probably not correct)!
