Need help with the correct carpet color for a 65 Coupe with a deluxe blue/white (code 62) interior... the outside is y code silver/blue.
The car was built in Dearborn on March 20, 1965. I am trying to identify the correct carpet color for the car.
I have the original carpet and matched protected areas to the available samples I found in two different Mustang supplier stores. The closest match I could find was Dark Teal (color code 33). BUT... with the full new ACC carpet laid out next to the old carpet and comparing the areas under the seat tracks and under the console the Dark Teal does not look correct in most light conditions. In some light conditions it looks OK but others not so good. In the car with a medium blue dash pad it really does not look correct.
Now am wondering what color to go to???
I have been looking in this forum for the last couple of hours now trying to understand what the judging rules are or current thinking is on what color carpet should have been in my car and can not find an answer. I have seen references to a color chart being in the library but the only one I can find is pictures of Exterior colors.
