Will have to find time to crawl under the wife's car for the length

Believe the casting on the end of the bar is "M1"  and each rear cast moutn has a series of numbers and a letter - will post a pic if I can. Of course these aren't Ford engineering numbers ;)

Just an FYI to the OP, the traction bar mounting bracket to the rear end is way different for the originals vs. the current product made by the  traction master co. What does your bracket look like, i.e. 4 hole bracket or 3 hole bracket, etc.

They are known for bending when subjected to dragstrip conditions.

The last '66 GT350 I owned had the traction bars braced with a long strip of steel that was welded to the tube by the original owner. He raced it A LOT in the streets of Juarez Mexico to raise $$$ to help pay for college.

I had thought that too but these both have the exact same curve in them, im not even sure they are shelby bars or for another application,

I came up with approx 26 1/2" total length or there about

M-1 cast into the end

Mounts look like these two (Correct finish rather than my choice 30 yrs ago :(

Thanks for the info and posting pictures , looks like the bars i picked up at the swap meet are not shelby bars as they are 3 inches too short.

How about the ends ?  Are they cast with the M-1 ?  And the end plates ,  are they 3 hole type as  J. S. posted ?

If so, they might Shelby bars that some one modified for another application,

There is a version of the override bar that had a curve built in to clear a bolt .I do not have access to my not to see if the length you gave would indicate it was one of those or not.

"Bent" bars could also be the twisted current state we find many in - from either heavy use or one or two too many floor jacks being placed on them :(
