1970 Buzzer Relay
« on: March 21, 2010, 09:39:47 PM »
I've run across a few buzzer relays (DOZE-1315C-A is listed in the books; the one I have is DOAB-1315O-F) in harnesses that are turned into me as cores.  As far as I can tell, they are not reproduced.  Are they worth anything?  Should I keep them or throw them away?

Is the DOAB a replacement part?

I alway's thought the rule here was "Throw nothing away".

I looked on ebay and Perogies had NOS for $55 and used for $25.

Several years ago, I bought a 71 tach harness that came with two of the buzzers that worked.  It came out of a loaded convertible and I don't remember what the second buzzer was for (seat belt warning maybe? which was not on my car), but I was so happy to have a spare that I could use on my 70 Mach whose buzzer had previously given up.

I agree, don't throw away.

I don't have a 1970 car to put this on.  I receive a lot of harnesses as cores, and occasionally, they come with some unusual switches.  I typically throw away flasher cans, door jamb switches and ignition switches, but I try and salvage some of the more unusual stuff.

I was just curious if these parts were hard to find and if they were worth keeping for future e-bay stuff or swaps.
