Topic: Dipstick Length

I have an October 64 San Jose coupe, A code and a November 65 Dearborn, C code Convertible. They have different dipstick lengths. The 65 is shorter and the 66 is longer. Today I changed oil in both of them and noticed that they were different.  Does anyone know if these are supposed to be different and if so, what should the proper length be for each? from the bottom of the handle on the 65, it is roughly 16 5/8 inches long, and the dipstick in the 66 is roughly 18 5/8 inches.

Also the dipstick tube on the 66 is about 2 1/4 inches longer, which sxplains the dipstick length. Just wonder if this is correct and if not, what is?
