Topic: 1969 390 Radiator Cap

Can anyone tell me which radiator cap my 1969 Mustang originally came with? It was built in Dearborn on April 8, 1969, came with a 390 and a 4 speed. I have seen both a chrome and zinc version.

Also, what would be the best reproduction cap available for my application?

Don't know if there is a "best" or even more than one maker of reproduction radiator caps. Comparing a couple to originals this weekend - both the repos were easy to tell from the originals    So as of right now - my answer is non are the better one

So I take it, the ones that are sold by Marti Auto Works are as close, yet not correct? It seems obvious that running your car with "none" would get you knocked for points too (I know, you meant "none are better than any of the other ones")
