This part was originally mounted near the voltage regulator on all Mustangs and Fords that were equipped with radios.

They are all made exactly like the originals with the proper plating, bracket, wiring and end plug.  Each style has been made with the proper stamping on the end.

I'll have to look close at my '65....it has an ORIGINAL condenser at the regulator, and I believe there is a FEMALE socket for the male bullet connector to plug into....

You may have a generator car.  These are for alternator equipped cars.

So what fits a 1964.5 generator equipped 260?

Yes.  Working on it, but honestly, it really depends upon how well these sell first.

The unit itself is a bit shorter, has a different bracket and a different wire end connector.
