67-70? Disc "Cigar" Brake Valve-Rebuildable
« on: March 25, 2014, 04:09:31 PM »
Looking for a rebuildable Residual Brake Valve, 67 Mustang with Disc Fr. Mines an "early" design just ahead of rear brake hose,
I understand the late 67-69's uses the same valve up under brake booster, at the regular proportioning/distribution block.
(somehow I have lost 2 of these that I had, and more recently an eBay seller "lost" the one I bought, having to be refunded...must be some sort of curse) 8)

Ideally you would want one with a C7... part number. The C8... numbered proportioning valves were used 1968-69. Should be the same though.

Also available reproduction too.

If you are building a clone I would buy the reproduction. They are very good.

Clone GT, yes...but this coupe did come with the disc brakes, so I was hoping to find another C7 valve if possible. I already bought a rebuild kit a while back, but couldn't find either of the valves I had before (original one I took off for leaking quite a while back, the 2nd one is MIA)
