Engine ID Decal Location Nov. 66, 1967 Mustang 289 code-A
« on: March 20, 2014, 02:06:18 PM »
Just wondering if anybody knows where to put the engine ID DECAL for a 4 barrel 289 (A-code). I've seen the sticker on some mustangs mounted on the coil. This car has a smog pump located where the coil & bracket for the non-smog cars is, so this coil lays down on right side, forward of carb. on the intake. (at least that's where it is now) I've located a repop sticker, but would like to have it reasonably close in location to where the original was. Pictures would be nice too ;) Thanks

That seems to be like what I remember too, thanks for the redirect. I've worked on so many different early stangs, some untouched, yet many with engine swaps, it is difficult to sort the truth from memory alone. If anybody has any other info, or photos, please chime in. None of those in the link above had Air Conditioning if that makes any difference and I didn't see any smog pump on any one of them either

I would choose the drivers side valve cover location given your engine and equipment
