"After" Evaporust
« on: March 19, 2010, 12:49:28 PM »
I've been experimenting with this stuff this week on some natural parts.  Very amazing results.  One questions comes to mind.  How do I preserve the finish?  "Boeshield" seems like a good choice.  But does the Evaporust leave the natural parts the correct shade of "natural" color?  The parts are definitely clean and fresh, but they don't look like new metal. What else do I need to do?  Thanks-- 8)

I don't know what the long-term results would be, but if you read the instructions on the Evaporust label, they say after rinsing to dip the part back in the solution and then let it dry.  It dries nice, a little sticky sometimes.

I have been wiping my parts down with degreaser and thinner and then spraying with Eastwood clear finish for bare metal parts. Results have been positive so far.
