Oct 64 SJ K-code Fastback:
- "K"'s and interior / exterior colors on front of radiator support - Not always (shopping list of colors) . K's and likely another letter on the front cross member. OF course the list colrs would be under the black and not really that visible on a restored car
- fender #s on outside of left & right frame rails - Yes - typically three numbers (only certain ones were used) followed by two and divided with a dash. Other side two digits followed but three numbers
- "X" by steering box bolts - Typically yes - some times it comes out as a check mark when the guy was quick or didn't want to bend over that day
- "X" by idler arm brace (didn't find) - Would not expect that you would have
- green spot on idler arm brace - More often I've found a stripe - yours might have bene done a little quicker or incomplete compared to most.
- coil spring markings (once I soak them in evaporust) - Yes
- other suspension piece markings, although a lot of pieces are aftermarket
- spots on steering box under blackout - looks like red & blue so far
Any other places I should look (firewall forward)? Don't want to lose any.
- Radiator support - white thin drivers side number over black
- Battery box/inner fender on wheel side
- On very few examples (must have been a fill in guy that worked the spot once a month or so) drivers side shock tower pocket (wheel side) or drivers side splash shield.
- Center of the firewall towards top
- Sheet metal
- Headlight buckets behind painted ring.
- Front fenders - on lip where it bolts to the car.
- Passenger side cowl below the weather strip
- Hood - upper corners when hood is open. Two different unassociated items
Think that does it
