I wouldn't go using that Colin Date book as gospel, There are tons of errors, inaccuracies and falsehoods in that book.  It also uses "restored" cars, and not low-mile original cars.  The pictures are good reference, but that's about it...Some of the cars in the pictures even have things wrong with them.  What Colin Date the author should do is have an update to the book in a newer revised edition so that all the mistakes can be corrected by going through some MCA judges first.

I've wondered why authors who write books like these don't feel a need to try and contact knowledgeable folks to proof-read their info.  Doesn't have to be MCA judges, just some that know the info.
