Hard To Find Part
« on: June 12, 2013, 06:00:06 PM »
Hey guys......I have attached two photos of a part I have been trying to locate. Ordered one from Grainger and although it is the right size, the style is incorrect. Take a look at the photos and if you happen to know where I can get one, pass along the info. I've already checked the local wrecking yards for the 200 6 cylinder engine, none found. If you have one hanging around and want to sell send an e-mail......Thanks.......Jeff

It looks alot like the fitting for a big block PCV system for 67.  I understand that it sounds to be for a six cylinder, but may still be a similiar part.  Here is another option for considerations.  www.mansfieldmustang.com

Update: Further investigation find that the part fits between the thermostat housing and the first exhaust port on the cylinder head. A metal fitting with a   tube attaches to it and then attaches to the carb spacer. The fitting is for the cooling system. This, I believe helps warm up the carb and choke then flows into the heater core.....just an assumption......

Update: Found the exact part I needed at Hose & Fittings......If you need fittings....Check them out here: http://www.hoseandfittingsetc.com/

Incorrect. This fitting is not used for cooling, It is used for Engine Vacuum.

The fitting is for the engine vacuum port on 200 six head.   I can furnish pics if you wish.  This Brass piece screws onto the side of the engine manifold on the exhaust side, and the Vacuum tube for the Transmission screws onto it.
