Removing Lettering & Emblems
« on: July 03, 2013, 12:34:11 PM »
I know you guys have done this many times and surely have your own methods.  This is one of mine I use carpenters door hanging shims.  The wood is nice because it is less likely to scratch the paint finish.  Often times the thin end of the shim can be coaxed under the letter/emblem just enough to give you a place to get started.  The shims wood surface can also give you a safe place to leverage from.  Brian

I've found that dental floss can be used to get behind the letters and then you simply pull the letters out of the barrel nuts.
