Topic: 69 Dearborn mach 1 Tran Tunnel Mark

Is there any significance to this X mark that is on top of my transmission tunnel, at the firewall?

 My car is a Dearborn, Jan build, Mach 1, 390 4spd.

Have not seen that (an X) marked there before. IMHO the X's were often used for different things at different plants this location is something new for me.  Does look like it was applied before paint so possibly there was an issue with the panel that was caught during inspection that needed addressing early in the build
