'68 drum brake distribution block rebuild

Have done the PB versions, but this is a bit different. Anyone know of a how-to on disassembly and repair (and if kits are even available)

Pulled the end cap and see a "screw" (slot) end of a brass lug. It does not want to move and I am unsure if it threads or not. I don't think so but odd it has the slot. As its brass, and soft, not interested in forcing it too much....

If there is no retaining clips you might want to help it by applying air to the back side. Watch out it might become a bullet :0

Would suggest a grease fitting and a grease gun but it might apply too much direct pressure that way if there is something in the design that is restricting its ability to slide out

Sorry can't be of much help in this one - don't even remember seeing an exploded view that would help in your efforts

The pictured valve is from a 1970 Mustang, but the procedure is the same. As Jeff said the piston can be removed by pushing it out with compressed air. If it doesn't come out easily you can apply heat with a propane torch (don't worry about the rubber seals if you're going to replace them) and then try the air again. I have a seal kit here:

Thanks for the tip on the heat.  Had banged on it quite a bit, no joy.  60 seconds of heat, than a few good whacks and its out.... soaking in solvent now...
