Topic: Support Brace for Convertibles

Anyone know who still manufactures the support braces for 64-66 mustang convertibles (pic attached) whilst the car is on a rotisserie.

I'm currently renting some that were fabricated by FabTech is Tulsa, OH from memory...
CJ Pony parts had them listed in there catalogue but they've been recently discontinued

BTW are the braces really necessary? Will the car flex without them or does it really only depend how rusted the car may have...
Is it better to use them regardless, that's my theory.

If your car doesn't a bunch of sheet metal replaced,  they are totally unnecessary.  If they were, the drivable car on its wheels and all together would fold in half if you opened both doors at the same time.

Cheers Bryan, the consensus I'm getting talking to others here down under is that I don't really need to use them, however to be safe I'd like to source a set (or make them up if I have to).
The fab tech I mention earlier were in Oklahoma, not Ohio.

Seen a couple of shops that have bent cars (twisted them) not using them ... to the point where they stopped using their rotator. I would not do a convertible with out some good bracing. In this case IMHO better safe than sorry

I agree, if you come across someone that knows who manufactures them I'd love to know, i'd assume it'd cheaper than having them custom fabricated
