The scissor jacks were not date coded before Jan 1967. And yes the early jacks are different. If you have pictures you can post here can tell you if what you have is correct.

Don't believe so, from what I understand there are 2 main features that separate the early ('64.5'ish) jacks from the '65's: the threads and bearing. Early versions had corse threads, '65's had fine threads and the early version had a bearing next to the drive nut whereas the '65's used washers.Jacks are a gray area due to multiple suppliers and the inability to verify if an "original" jack is still in the car after 40+ years.Greg
