Anyone have a Dearborn built "F" -code '65 Stang near VIN# 5F08T76972x ?? (-Last number witheld for my protection!..lol). I'm looking for a Build date. I picked up a new 1965 Mustang Convertible and my Dataplate is missing! All VINs check out on the car though. I have a new addition to the family! The detective work begins!

If you have a Dearborn built "F" -code '65 Stang near VIN# 5F08T76972x , Please let me know what your build date is. I am trying to narrow it down. The rest I can figure out.

Much Thanks,

Tony K.

Tony,
comparing with cars around that s/n in Mustang production guide it appears as if it should be 24T.

Thanks... Yeah, 24T seems to be the general consensus, and I agree.   I'm looking for Vol. 1 myself..  I have Vol. 2.......Still need Vol. #1 !! - E-mail me if you have an extra copy you want to ditch..

Thanks guys!

  • If it does not fit, you need a bigger hammer!

For the 64/66 I would start on eBay and expect to pay 100-150 for it.

As far as I know the books are no longer printed.

It's worth registering on the In Search of Mustang website, where you can filter basically anything on a VIN Plate, i.e if you wanted to see cars that were A code with Candy Apple Red paint...

There are also some interesting articles on rare / famous Mustangs :)

Sorry Jay doesn't look like you made the page with car information though your car could be in the VIN Only pages.
