Steve Our 67 GTA had the F70-14 Wide Ovals and that is what I bought from Coker. I may have some extra 4 lug rims.

I've been doing some reading on the 6.95x14 tires and it seems like the general consensuses is that the 7/8" white wall was used in 65 and the 5/8" white wall was used in 66.  Not much information to be found on 67 and so far I've not seen any proof that any of this is right but I am leaning towards the 5/8" being correct for 67.  Anyone have any thoughts or documentation on the white wall size in 67?

Guys,  Just a heads up for anyone else looking for the BF Goodrich 6.95x14 Bias-ply tires.  I ended up getting them from Mustangs Unlimited for $139.95 a piece.  I doubt that price will last very long, as my guess is they never updated there prices.  The funny thing was I took there price to Coker tires at Carlisle and they told me they would loose too much money to match the price.  However Mustangs Unlimited ended up drop shipping them directly from Coker.

Last fall I was looking at the FR380 for my radial set as I have another set of wheels set up with 6.95 x14's for the authentic look. Firestone doesn't make the FR380 anymore and I never liked the tread pattern. I found a nice whitewall radial made by Mastercraft.

For the 6.95 x 14's, since the Firestone's are not reproduced, I went with the US Royals from Coker tires. I have the blackwall showing on mine as it came from the factory with the full hubcaps. I actually enjoy driving on them and getting the full experience of how the car drove new.

Concours Driven is the goal for me.  I have to admit that I'm conflicted between the FR380 and the F70-40 wide oval available from Coker.  I do have a drivability concern for the non radial tire, not ever having driven on them.  It would be a bummer to shell out about $1000 to find out that the handling is lousy......."

Many hundreds of thousands of miles have been driven on bias ply tires.  As long as all 4 tires are one type or the other there is no "danger".  Unless the car is possessed a la "Christine"
