Topic: California Special Script Quarter Location

I had new quarter panels put on my California Special.  The body shop did not put the "California Special" emblems back on.  They are now out of business.  Does anyone have the exact location?

First I'm guessing you don't have a car built for the debut and you had your quarter panels replaced (reason for no holes)

On the regular California Specials all 6 holes were drilled using a fixture at the San Jose plant before paint. The fixture orientated the Special under the California script so that the tip of the "S" on both sides was under the "I" in the California script above.

As far as location on the quarter panels I've never made templates from my car but the subject has been discussed over on the Calif Special site

We have a GT-CS that has original quarters and we have not yet installed the scripts. I could possibly make a paper template. PM me if interested.
