Paint daub on the '70 Boss 302 Z-bar and clutch rod.

#1- Does anyone have a picture showing the The paint daub on the '70 Boss 302 Z-bar.  Looking at the archives I understand that it  is purple  and located on the top half of the curved bracket that attaches to the clutch pedal rod, but would like to see a picture if possible so I can get a better idea of where, as well as the color.

#2- I also found that clutch pedal rod has an "orange code" that is sprayed on the rod near center.  Is that code a part number of just a paint daub?   Any pics?

Thanks

Only pic I have is a DOZZ-7528 D and its a NOS one so can not be certain the paint mark matches what the assembly line matches. Consider that if you choose not to paint daub either of these two parts you can always do it later when you get proper documentation - IMHO allot better than having the wrong mark that might get seen and duplicated on someone else's car

Just a thought ;)

Have a couple of pictures but again these are NOS ones and I have no idea if originals were marked that way. Paint mark is not a "part number" or engineering number just a quick identifier

Jeff,

I completely agree with you on not putting the marks on until there is an original reference showing them. These will be easy to add later. I will check on some of the other forums to see if anyone has any original pics.

In the mean time, I will msg you my email address and if you could send me those reference pictures they may help to analyze any original pics I can locate that most likely would not be in great condition..

thanks again
