Ford practice by 69 was just the G and M. The one Tim posted is the one with the crooked G leg (both the straight and crooked were used) Of course this just identifies the pattern not the specific trans code your might have - check the tag
Normally a yellow mark (could be daub or stamp depending) - Assembler/inspector number in yellow above the shifter shafts. The rest are normally another number on the passenger side free hand and a couple of other paint brush symbols oen that likely IMHO indicated that the case was filled
