Topic: Goodyear Polyglas date codes

Did anyone repop Goodyear Polyglas Gt tires. I ask because the date coding on the tires seems to be different than the codes I have seen dicussed in other replies here. The date code on one of the tires is as follows CYUDB4GG0808.

Pretty sure thats the DOT code which means the tire would be post 1972. I thought the format was the last 3 digits were week/year but obviously there arent 80 weeks in a year. I am fairly confident the last number is the year so probably 1978 but could be 1988 as decades were not noted

Contacted Kelsy Hayes. The date code on the continuation tires are last 4 digits are week and year. So date is 8th week of 08.
