Fender Bolts July 68 Jersey Vert
« on: November 29, 2012, 09:54:17 PM »
A little background.  Dad flipped the car upside down in the late 70's and it sat in a warehouse for about 7 years.  He took it to a shop and they removed the fenders and replaced at least the drivers side inner fenders.  I never saw the car when it was wrecked, nor any pictures.  Long story short, I have no idea what fasteners are supposed to be where.  I ran into something fun the other day...the shop used bumper bolts on the stone deflector because they did not have those special fasteners.

I've seen both phosphate and cadmium finish for the fender bolts.  The bolts that were there were completely painted body color, but did have the MFc heads.  I've seen two different bolts at AMK, one is phosphate with the Anchor and the other is cadmium with 3 half lines and a capital S.

Which one of the 3 is correct?

Dave
