Build Date and VIN
« on: November 25, 2012, 11:17:27 AM »
Hello. I have just purchased a 1966 Dearborn built coupe (6F07T303810) and have a question regarding the build date and VIN. The data plate on the door has a small dent right where the build date is embossed. I can't tell if it's 31C or 31G. Would someone be able to tell me if the 303810 would be closer to a March build date or a July build date? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks for your time.
George

That would be 31C. Checked "Mustang production guide"...

This is right at the time of the Millionth Mustang sale that kicked of on March 30th. Have you checked to see if your 6-cylinder might be a Sprint?

Millionth Mustangs should have no paint code and a six digit DSO possibly ending in 1111. They were assembled in San Jose.

I didn't realize there were any 6-cylinder anniversary Mustangs. I was referring to the Sprint promotion that kicked off about the same time.
