Mach 1 Dash Emblems
« on: September 22, 2012, 04:56:54 PM »
Has anyone ever noticed a difference in the coloring of the 69-70 MACH 1 Dash Emblems? I am seeing Black Border and Lettering and a Goldish colored Border and Lettering? The Gold coloring does not really look like it was black and faded to gold. I'm just wondering if it is an Early vs. Late thing? or Factory vs. NOS thing? or if it is really just black fading to a gold color?

I believe it is just fading. I have an NOS one and it is black.

The mylar or "chrome" plating applied to the plastic pieces can change allot over the years due to sun, heat or allot of different things. Agree with Armond - what your seeing is just age
