Factory black finish
« on: August 14, 2012, 03:12:04 PM »
Just media blasted and sprayed dp50 on my 65 fastback shell and most all other parts. Looking to spray rear axle, engine bay, and misc. parts with a factory close matte black finish. Kind of limited in CA with voc regulations. Two options are kirker low voc hot rod black and sem low voc hot rod black. Anyone ever use any of these products. If so how is finish, sheen, durability, etc.

Locally they use the Sems Hot rod black and its fine for some of those items. Of course many of them were shot at different times so it would be nice if all your semi-gloss black parts did not have the some shine.

Just a thought ;)
