I'm trying to see if repro for the Firestone Wide-O-Oval F70-14 exist to mount on my car.
My original spare (matches Marti F70X14 Wide Oval Tires + White Sidewall Nylon Tires) has the Deluxe Chamion model and is also marked Polyester cord.
I can only find a close matche at Coker but it is a "Sup-R-Belt" thread design. So the tire bears that name molded in lieu of Deluxe Champion. Also they refer to; That same famous tread and authentic 2+2 polyester/fiberglass. So I guess the construction might be different.
Is it all we can get ? Any issue with that as far as restoration rules? What's the difference between both; size, thread design shape, performance, etc. What do you, the expert restorers, do when needing replacement
