I updated my previous post to indicate I was looking for others with similar timing covers and their cast numbers. It appears after Bob's last post I no longer require that info.
Bob also covered the 67 Hi-Po water pump very well and added detail about the standard pumps of which I was not aware.
If you go out looking for a water pump the vendors only list "65-67" Hi-Po pumps.
Yes, they include 67 and show the aluminum Hi-Po pump.
But those pumps are open back and require a different timing cover.
That lead me down the bunny trail of what the heck is stock on a 67 Hi-Po?
This is actually hard to figure since the MPC lists only later replacement Ford numbers and not assembly line. There is very little written about the 67 Hi-Po engine online and it's mushed together with 65-66. Further, my engine has been apart so I can't count on it being stock anymore.
What I mean about "Standard front dress" is the 67 Hi-Po uses a stock t/c, a stock looking water pump and stock looking fan. Maybe the term front dress is odd or maybe just regional.
Thanks for adding to the discussion, Bob. I am no longer confused (by the vendors).
