You never know what you will find when you take these old cars apart. Yesterday I was changing rear axle seals in the 67 T code sprint that I have been restoring. When I pulled the first axle I saw what looked like black plastic around the outside of the seal when I pulled it out I found they must have gotten the wrong seal and it did not fit tight so they wrapped it with several layers of electrical tape. The other side the seal came out on the axle when I pulled out. It did not have the required electrial tape! I wonder why it leaked so badly. This car has not been driven for 32 years and was a barn find. Marty

Looks like a factory marking on the lower radiator support.
