65 Vinyl for rocker/sill?
« on: November 16, 2014, 01:02:51 PM »
H all,
I have an early '65 coupe that was built during the cusp of transitioning to a full-fledged '65  (built 9/11/64).  My car has many of the '64 parts on it.  One of the problems I'm running into is finding the vinyl that goes onto the interior of the rocker panel, below the door sill.  I know the car had this originally, because I removed it when I stripped the interior.  I also kinda remember the edge of the carpet only going to the edge (this was before I replaced the carpet with a generic brand back in ~1977 when I was a kid with my first car).  Does anyone know of a source for this chunk of vinyl?

I have one other part I'm having trouble with, but I'll create a separate thread for that, including a pic...

Thanks in advance for any and all help!

AWESOME!!  Thank you!  My local Mustang store didn't have it, nor could I find it on any of the other online Mustang stores that I looked at.  They also carry the other bit I was looking for - the sound deadening material that goes behind the interior quarter panel

Thanks again,
Kelley

Make sure to match the color of the vinyl to the color of the kick panel.

What color are you looking for?  I had issues with some of the Mustang restoration places matching my vinyl.  SMS fabrics up in Oregon had the ivy gold vinyl that matched perfectly.  Have them cut you a small sample of the color you think you need.

My interior is black, so I would think it should be an easy match.  :D
