Topic: Standard seat belts with retractors?

I have 1966 standard clam shell style front seat belts that seem to be original to the car with retractors.  Everything I have read and have viewed online states that only deluxe seat belts had the retractors.  What's the deal?

Factory only for mounted retractors on Fastbacks and hardtops, convertibles used the wind up type on the belts. It was a stand alone option with a few variations between 65 and 66 and was identified as "Deluxe". Is that enough?

The tongues on the male belts are different between the clam-shell std. belts and the deluxe belts.  The deluxe belts are rounded all the way around on the top, the std. have a step-up.

Huh?  So wait, I'm confused.  Maybe I'm missing something so forgive me if that's the case.  The clam shell style belts with retractors that I have would be considered deluxe?  Please explain.  Thanks.

Probably best for you to show a pic of the tongues on the retractors just to be sure.  Assuming they are original and not restored?

Yes they are original, not restored.  Pics attached.  Not the greatest they are what I have on file, but can take more if necessary.

So there were a clam shell style deluxe belts?  I thought all deluxe would be the push button type.

In '66 the deluxe was push-button.
