dash pad molding screws

The screws that hold the dash pad molding to the bottom of the windshield opening.  Were they painted to match the molding?

Not my originals from a January '65 Dearborn car; they are a chrome (?) finish-definately shiny.

The screw is 53066-S13, a 8-15X1 1/4 oval head trim screw, 7 are required. It is common with the 64 thru 66 dash trim. AMK carries it as B-12136, $3 for 8.
