A pillar mounted spotlight....factory??

Thanks for reading....I noticed on a dealer website, a '65 with an A pillar mounted spotlight....I've never seen this before....was this a factory install?

Not sure they ever sold a single one since they were a generic application - much more popular with police cars and some trucks.

Its not unusual for owners to add on every single accessory they can find to make their cars stand out at shows or at least try and make them the center of discussion and interest (either positive or negative ::) at a show. Got so carried away that there are situations where judges deducted points for having too many accessories
