Turn signal stalk install
« on: October 04, 2011, 10:00:12 PM »
Took the old one out as it was pitted and rusty out of the column. The new one doesn't want to thread in. Tried putting the old one back and it won't go in either. Ismthere some sort of trick to this. There seems to be a collar around the receiving hole from above and the angle of entry seems to be different then the way the old one came out. Is a tilt stalk different than a standard column?

Nope, same one. They can be a little frustrating to line up. Make sure you don't strip it. Is it tilt or standard?

Acces plate was off. By the way how does that little acess plate attach. I think I remember a pin almost acting as a hinge? Pic would be helpful. marty how about posting one of you tilt in the green vert.

Rich,
One end has a tab that slips under and the other has a rubber latch that keeps it closed. Marty
