Getting ready to mount wiper arms. Heard it is easy to index them incorrectly and scratch up cowl. What is the correct proceedure and precautions to take? Hanks in advance for any tips or secrets.

I strongly recommend that you power the wipers and ensure that the mechanism is in the park position BEFORE you mount the arms. You need a battery, the wiring harnesses, and dash cluser with wiper switch installed to do this.

Ok I've gotten that far. Now what? I remember they were a pain to take off so I want to do it once and right. Should the blades and holders be mounted to the arms? Do I just push down on the knuckle until they seat fully. Should cowl get taped around install area? Thanks Pete.

Long overdue but the wipers are the last exterior piece to put on. Couple of questions. Marty sent me a nicer wiper arm. I need to transfer the Trico blade holder from an arm with a bad finish to the one Marty sent. I press the small tab but it's not coming off. What do I do? Also may as well get new blades installed. All the auto parts stores carry are the plastic holders with blades. Where's the best place to just get blades. NAPA? Special order I presume? Last thing is can someone double check their car and measure the distance from the top of the lower window molding to the tip of the blade? Lets use the tip which would go towards the top of the windshield when in the up position. Those two dimensions for the RH and LH arm would be very helpful. Thanks
