This has got me thinking that my SJ 67 convertible has the hood mounted turn signals and the housing were plated in zinc dichromate. Makes some sense now. Marty

I've noticed the same usage of zinc dichromate on electrical fasteners on the earlier years also.
Yes ,the usage was there but not as prevalent as the the later 67-70 years. It seemed that it was being used more and more as the model years progressed.Like the 65/66 back up light nuts and washers are silver for example. The later years transitioned to the S36. Just interesting to observe the pattern in the big picture 65-70. Bob
