Topic: 69 Master Cylinder & Gasket

I am preparing to put my engine bay area back together and according to the 69 Shop Manual it looks like i am missing the gasket between the master cylinder and firewall. There is no part number in the manual. I want to confirm that this gasket is correct and my second questions is where can I buy one?

One other question, the master cylinder and cap should all be black?

You are in luck one of the Forum Members who also started the recently reproduced or is in the process of reproducing that gasket. http://musclecarresearch.com/shop/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=4&products_id=33
you can also do a search for "booster gasket" .  The 69 master lid is most often black with no vent in the top and the raised (em bossed?)lettering on the lid . this is the way it is on all but the earliest production ones which had (De bossed?) sunken in style lettering  and had a sticker. Bob

Sorry, one more question for clarifiction. The master cylinder is black and the cap is black?
