Brake/Fuel line clips
« on: August 24, 2011, 06:57:53 PM »
I am having trouble trying to figure out how the two clips, that attach to the transmission tunnel, that hold the fuel line and rear brake lines together, attach to the holes in the tranny tunnel. I have a concourse set of clips for my car and have figured all the others out but these two. I'm guessing that somehow I need to spread the butterfly shaped metal prongs out to attach them,
but not sure if this is correct or if I am missing something else. Any help would be appreciated.
1966 Dearborn convertible mid Feb build date.

Thanks Much: John

I believe you squeeze the clip together to install, and separate them for removal.  Kinda backasswards.

+1 often the reproductions do not hold well. Having someone on the other side spreading the two ends out as you hold the bracket and clip tight often helps
