Seems so simple but the clip has barbs on it that prevent it from coming off once its installed-the clip doesn't slip easily like I thought it would into the knob......

WOW!! I'm guessing that this is a hard thing to do w/o breaking the knob-I guess thats why my seat levers didn't have a clip on the knob and broke off...

I found out from a member on anouther site that to install the knobs you first slip the clip onto the seat lever, then put the knob on and apply some pressure by hand to slip it on.......I'm headed out to try it!

Let me know what you find out.  I've had trouble with these in the past.

Guys, I did manage to get the new knob on with the clip: I did just as Tony Kovar suggested and put the clip on the arm first, then pushed the knob down onto it, the knob went 3/4 the way or better onto the clip with just my hand pressure, and its nice and snug, I am not going to risk destroying the new knob by trying to tap it on-(I might though) (lol) looked over at the other seats knob and its on backwards!!
Still finding Gremlins (NOT the AMC kind-LOL in/on my car....)

Yep.. That's how you do it.....Thumbs up...!

Clip goes on first......then the knob over it... Tap down with palm of hand or ever so gently with a rubber mallet... Does the trick every time..

Also, Anyone ever notice that the Ford Service part knob has a much bigger arc or arch than that of the repro knob which is almost 99% identical to the originals....????  Anyone ever notice this?????
