Power Brakes/Automatic Transmission
« on: July 12, 2011, 10:36:52 PM »
I have studied the Mannel Book.
Still need a picture of the vacuum port, tube, hoses, and fittings,
showing how it came if factory equipped with both options.

Mr. Mannel says "in 66, if equipped with AT/PB, a "special fitting" at the
PB booster is where the AT line attaches." ????
What special fitting?

  • If it does not fit, you need a bigger hammer!

Thanks,
Can I assume that those 3 pieces are the OEM assembly-line setup, including the tube?

That tube looks like the little one on page 6-32 in the Mannel book, but the other 2 brass parts do not look like the one on page 6-31.

Is the end of the tube tapered to a smaller diameter?

I'm also interested in seeing a picture of what it's suppose to look like after installation...where it points...what length hoses...what type clamps if any...routing?

Tube is aftermarket replacement, the brass is not. I did put the tape there. Look at Bobs book page 5-48.

This was one of many parts that was sitting loose in the engine bay, that is why I cleaned it up. The car is in storage but the loose parts got thrown into a box and taken to the house. It however it goes in where the AT line goes.
