The 3M butyl-based strip caulk works ok for sealing front/rear glass.  I'd rather use that than the CRL stuff, which is awful.


One of the rope caulk non-butyl is also an option.  Eastwood sells it and I believe another brand is Norton.


Luckily, I have a few tubes of bedding compound and do like Marty suggested and use it as a finishing layer on top of caulk.
