« on: November 19, 2024, 02:33:16 PM »
Hi Gents

A bit of help please

I have a 67 FB GT in Dark Moss green. How do I tell if it came with clear or tinted glass ? Marti report doesnt say anything.

This is the glass my supplier is offering me, It looks like green tint. I am not sure if its correct or not ?

Thks in advance.

Your Marti should state if you have tinted windows or not. The lack of any notation of "Tinted Windows" means no tint.
If you have any original side glass it would state SUN-X if tinted. All FBs have a SUN-X rear glass, so no help there.

Two things about that glass you show. That top tint on the windshield is way too dark. And the Ford script is totally incorrect for Concours.
Look for the 67 Carlite threads.

A favorite for many on this site:

There is very little data about the "Brow Tint" at the top of the glass. I believe in 67 that it only came on tinted glass models. And from the two examples of original glass I have in house, the tint is on the light bronze side. The color may be due to aging.

Hoping to spur a conversation on this topic.

[this post should be in the 67 Mustang section]

All of the darker tented band at the top of tinted repro windshields have not looked anything like assembly line.   Yes more of a lighter bronze tint from what I have seen.

Also a less distinct transition between the darker band and regular tint compared to the pictured windshield in the previous post.
