Ok guys and gals,


The time has come to split the site off from it's sister site and get some breathing room for the other joint and add in a gallery for this one.


This will take place on Sunday. I will have to unassign the domain and set it up on another hosting account.  This will render the site unavailable for at least a couple hours maybe more.
It could take as long as 24 hours for the domain to propagate through dns.


During that time I will move the files to the new server.


You patience will be greatly appreciated during this time.

Alrighty.


The bulk of the work is done and the site seems to have survived intact. 


Please use this thread to report any oddities you may encounter. There is half a million settings to change and it's likely I missed a couple.


In about a week we will see another short outage while I change to a dedicated IP.  I wanted to get the hard work done and the site operational again with the bugs worked out before taking the next step.


Work will begin on the gallery later today. The boss has a few chores for me right now.............

Oh yeah, one other thing. Your bookmarks may need to be changed. You can now come straight in using www.concoursmustang.com which will direct you to the forum or you can use what most of you used before

Gallery is up and functioning.


Images have to be loaded one by one until I figure out what is wrong with the bulk add function. It works fine in the default theme but not in this theme.

It's another Mustang site. Geared more toward restomods.
 
We shared common server server space. I felt it would improve the performance of both sites to split them up and have dedicated IPs for each. Stangfix is on a dedicated IP and this site will be in another week or so. I also felt this site should have a proper gallery for members to upload their pictures.

The bulk upload function in the main theme (AS_Theme) is proving to be a difficult challenge for me.


An easy workaround is to change your theme to the default (curve) theme by going to profile, look and layout, then choosing change on the first line and changing to the SMF Default Theme (curve).


It's not as pretty as the AS_Theme but it functions flawlessly. I will continue to work on the the issue until it is resolved.


Meanwhile, if you want to move a bunch of pics into a gallery at once, swap themes, use the bulk upload and then switch back.
