Strange Build Date 10 V
« on: May 14, 2024, 09:20:47 PM »
Hello all.

Here's one that I've not seen before but hopefully someone else has an answer. The build date on the door data plate of this Dearborn built 1966 A code is 10V. Since Ford used A-M for the month codes, could this simply be mis-stamped by the factory? I won't have access to the car until Thursday to confirm the build date / date stamps of various components on the car.

Thanks for the help!!!

Thank you for the confirmation.

In that case a very late build. I believe the last day of Mustang production at Dearborn was 8/12/1966.

Thank you for the confirmation.

Of course the 10V was the date guesstimated back when the order came in and the Aug 12th would have been a date arrived at from different sources and reasons  :)

As we know and accept the date stamped on the door/warranty tag is often not the build date, the date the car was completed or even started on.
